Thinking about switching to a plant-based diet, but not sure where to start? The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan and Plant Powered Metro New York have created a program to help you make the change easy and enjoyable. Scientific research suggests that many chronic diseases can be controlled, reduced, or even reversed by a whole-food, plant-based diet. Fitness payoffs include increased energy, reduced inflammation, and better weight management. The program includes basic biometric testing; dietary and meal-planning resources; kitchen skills and two cooking classes in the JCC's Patti Gelman Culinary Arts Studio; medical oversight by a board-certified physician; volunteer mentors; and a social support network.
This program provides the following sessions:
Sun, Oct 27, 8:30 am–1 pm - Opening Breakfast (required)

Sun, Nov 17, 8am-12 pm - Closing (required)
